Sollia Friluftsliv ans has 10 new Trapper glassfiber canoes. Glassfiber canoes do not have the same life expectancy as aluminium/steel canoes, but they are not as cold to the touch as aluminium. At the end of the season, the canoes are sold.
Enjoy one or more days in the fantastic delta area in the heart of the Rondane National Park. Even at the height of the insect season, you are as good as insect-free in the middle of the river.
The river Atna meanders its way into the foot of Rondanes highest mountains, among them Rondeslottet (2178 m.a.s.) and Høgronden (2114 m.a.s.) - good goals for a day-trip.
Atna in Nord Atndalen, 700 m above sea level is a good, calm river. It is ideal for family trips with its crystal-clear waters and sandy beaches. Even though the river may appear to be calm, it will, nevertheless, help you onwards to your destination.
There are good fishing possibilities in the river and in its surrounding waters.
Sandom is the recommended starting point as it is not possible to get higher with the canoe. From there you can paddle down to Gamlegarden, approx. 2 hours, or on further to Straumbu, approx. 3-4 hours. If you would like a full day-trip, you can continue on down to Furulund, 6-7 hours, in the northern part of Atna lake. It is possible to continue along the edge of the lake to Atna bridge.

While is it usual to be able to rent a canoe on the day, we do recommend that you pre-book. If you need help with transportation of people, pre-booking will often be necessary.
We recommend that you yourself park your car at your final destination and arrange transport to your starting point. Sollia Friluftsliv charge 100 kr. for the transportation of 1 – 4 persons. Prices can be discussed for 5 or more persons.
